The transmitter sends repeated signals to the collar’s receiver to mark the boundary. When the collar receives a signal, it is considered inside the safe zone and no correction is issued. If the collar loses the signal—for example, if the dog leaves the boundary, a signal is blocked, or the base unit dies—the collar enters correction mode to guide the dog back.
It features an adjustable collar for dogs of all sizes from 6 to 28 inches, and a dual-antenna design that improves coverage and signal stability. The system operates on a built-in 2.4GHz transmission, so no internet or Wi-Fi is required. The base unit’s range can be set from 80 ft to 1640 ft; walls, buildings, or interference from vehicles, trees, or metal objects can affect distance. Place the base unit about 1 meter above the ground in an open area.
